De flesta länder hade förbud i mitten på förra decenniet (edit: det var nog alla redan då) och jag hörde talas om det främst på Filipinerna och då särskilt i samband med projekt som gick ut på att använda akvariehandeln som ett medel att bevara korallrev - och då förstås bli av med cyaniden.
