När jag var ung för länge sedan fanns det bara två
Labeotropheus-arter, nämligen
L. fuelleborni (blå näbbciklid) och
L. trewavasae (liten näbbciklid).
2016 beskrev Michael J. Pauers två arter till,
Labeotropheus chlorosiglos och
L. simoneae.
